Source; A Life Changing Weekend

February 18-21st 2011, a weekend that will change your life. Discover things about yourself you never knew before and enter a spiritual awakening. Source is a non alcoholic multi-media art, music and healing festival that will be held on at Camp Keanae, on the exotic Keanae Penninsula. This festival wouldn't exist if it wasn't for you. This weekend is interactive, where everyone is a volunteer. Weather you want to help prepare dinner, welcome people at the gate, or help out with first aid, this is an event that can only go on when everyone participates.
During the day there are a number of activities that you can partake in. Last year my life was changed from some of the things I was introduced to at Source such as; energy clearing, living sustainable, traditional Hawaiian healing and more. From dance, to yoga, hoola hooping or even learning how to spin poi, there is something to do all day. And if you are feeling like you just need to relax, you can choose to lounge out on the grass lawn and overlook the ocean.
At night, there will be several events that you can watch or partake in. If you ever dreamed of singing in front of a crowd, or have a special talent you would like to show off, this is definitely the place. The talent show is a perfect time to show off your skills and feel comfortable while doing so. The night time activity that I am most looking forward to is put on by Next Level Theater Productions and Merkabah Fire Productions. It is called, "Crossroads of Light" a Romeo and Juliet type of story shown in a backlight theatre.
Of course there is nothing more artistic than dancing. You can guarantee that you can dance all day and all night. To keep the noise down for the neighbors there will be a "Silent Rave". Where you actually get to wear headsets to hear the DJ!
If your mind and yourself is looking for a mid- winter mini vacation. Source is the place to go. You will discover things about yourself you never knew, and meet people who will change your life. So, Share Openly, Ur Creative Expressions. To buy tickets and more details visit : http://sourcemaui.com/

Reda Briki Loves That Fever!

The first time I heard his sound, I had a smile on my face and vibration in my gut. His magic connected me to the rhythm as I continued to smile. Coincidentally, I wrote this before I interviewed him on the phone and one of the last things he said to me was, “I like my music to take people somewhere, leave them inspired… make people smile”. He certainly achieved his goal!
Reda Briki is the Resident DJ for Disorient, a sound camp for Burning Man and around the world. He is playing next Friday, February 4, 2011 at Love That Fever’s “Gold & Glitter” Party at Rebel in NYC. Reda has a French-Algerian background which deeply connects him to the drums. He is very unique in the way he puts together exotic drums from places like Egypt and Algeria with the horns of Miles Davis and strings of George Benson.
Reda loves to travel and discover new music, along with playing and delivering a positive message world-wide. Reda has played at Burning Man, and in places such as Monaco, LA, and is even going to be playing in Egypt at the Transahara Festival this year! He says his favorite places that he has played was San Francisco, Argentina and of course the NY community.
Reda believes and succeeds in the fact that music should inspire people; move them emotionally by telling a story. Without people on the dance floor, he wouldn’t be able to play. “The people are my music”, says Reda. As I type this I am listening to his newest track “Love That Fever” and literally dancing in my seat. Hopefully he will be playing it next Friday!
There are some musicians who studied for years and may be logistically correct in their sound but do nothing for your soul. There are some who are so talented that they take you to another place and that is Reda Briki. So, come warm up, forget about your problems and get ready to get moved (literally) at the Gold and Glitter party next Friday presented by Love That Fever. For more events check out:

Time of your Life

Time of your Life

September 20, 2010 i wrote about how i want to make a difference.
The only way to make a difference is to change.
"I don't want to work a nine to five"
be in the same miserable compfort ruitine everyday of my life
till i'm so old i get to retire but i'm too old to do what i want.
It all hit me last night talking to Ryan and watching the end
of Seinfeld with the song "Time of your Life" by Greenday in the background.
Another turning point a fork stuck in the road, time grabs you by the wrists directs you where to go
He told me i couln't plan things i just ned to go with my feelings. He still has the spirit in him.
I had this elaborate master plan of what was going to happen. But, he was right...
my plan was foiled. I have always known what i want, I have felt it for the past year.
The universe keeps pointing me there, so i am going to go with my feelings.
I am going to go with my feelings.
Jumping from compfort zone to compfort-zone, pacific time zone, to eastern time zone won't get me anywhere.
When you know nothing, you are at your prime to learn.
This is the best oppertunity that has been given to me.
Being confused can be good.
I close my eyes and let my heart guide the way....
the way to my dreams....and my reality.....*

Some people are just idiots

I may be blonde...but i am far from dumb....

I am usually a very positive peaceful person, but over the past couple days i have ran across a bunch of morons. I even hate talking so negatively, but this time its the truth.
I find myself being able to make peace with mostly everyone, but how do you make peace with someone that JUST doesnt GET IT?

I'll start foward and work my way back.
I'd like to thanks Citi Bank for holding my money hostage.
Because apparenlty since i am a new customer and they want to establish a
"RELATIONSHIP"
with me.........they have to hold my money for 9 days after a deposit it, even though
i have enough money to cover the check.
Next, I'd like to say thanks to the company I called who I have an appointment with on Thursday.
I forgot my appointment time, and the lady yelled at me on the phone, because she couldnt find it in her datebase it was apparently my fault i lost the paper and the time can't be found. thank you state of new freaking jersey.
Thirdly I'd like to say thanks a number of douchebag boys. Once again, I am not dumb. I can't tell you how many people I have gotton in a fight with and stopped talking to this week.
Fourth, that person that stepped on their breaks to early last week while i was in the car with my dad.
Fifth, I'd like to thank all the good people who have stuck by my side no matter what. :)
I love you guys <3
My energies need to be focused on the positive in order to make everything around me positive. The funny part is that i have felt happy and good, despite me being sick. I am excited for the future and the past.
Tonight i will meditate, fung shui my room, and cleanse.
Rawr!
